I was out of the office for a week. A sick leave, a vacation leave, a changed day off, two rest days, and two days in a seminar.
For four days, Johnny and I hired a helper and left the shop to celebrate our one year together. It wasn’t how I planned it to be. I wanted to go to Ocean Park and spend a night at Hotel H2O but no thanks to a chaotic office rearrangement, I lost my free voucher. We went to Tagaytay instead.
We planned to drink Novellino bianco classico because it has something to do with our past but we couldn’t find one so we settled for the luscious peach casual wine.
All we did was eat, sleep and … He went crazy for mushroom burger. I loved Max’s pinaputukang tyan ng bangus even more.
Before our two days in Tagaytay, we also went to SM Mall of Asia supposedly to watch Clash of the Titans but it wasn’t onscreen. We just ate at Savory and fooled around at the bay park.
We eventually watched Clash at SM Bacoor.
There are times I want to rip apart my head (or yours) in anger, but I still love you so much John Jourdan Diato. I know I could never have it this good with anyone.
Glee‘s back! I downloaded the latest episode soon as I saw it in torrent. Sue is amusingly meaner. And the two dumb cheerios are additional entertainment.
Rachel’s lip gymnastics is annoying, and her disregarding Finn’s declaration of commitment, even more so. Though, Finn had been a jerk, yes. Boys do fail sometimes but if they sincerely repent (and you truly love him) a second chance is worth risking.
Mr. Schuster is a m-e-s-s! I thought he really cared for Emma. Can I blame him? The coach of Vocal Adrenaline is sizzling hot. But still.
And do you know that dolphins are gay sharks? LOL. This show’s hilarious.

One: Budol-budol style. Two: Bicycle thief. Three: Gang wars and other tales.
ONE
We haven’t publicly opened the shop when I lost my wallet. Johnny and I were at the shop when a man entered and said he wants to go online. So I hurried to turn on the computer.
In that split second, the man was able to steal my wallet from my bag. I know that’s his only time because when I turned around and saw my bag, I immediately brought it to safety. Then he just asked us to type a resume-looking document and said he will come back for it after 30 minutes.
Stupid me, I thought of helping out the man and made the resume more presentable. When I finished, I looked for my wallet to sort out the receipts of recent purchases. Wallet’s gone. And yeah, he didn’t come back.
TWO
After several days, Johnny told me that Kenneth lost his bike which he parked at the shop’s door.
Funny, Byron, another friend of his, has parked his bike there several times before and even left his wallet in the bike’s basket but he fortunately didn’t lose both.
THREE
Should we delve into more? Suffice it to say that there have been a handful of petty crimes in the area.
And I thought people who warned us againsts thefts and other dangers are just pessimists.
I’m losing faith in people’s goodness.
Editors were mostly in a foul mood when they arrived at work and found the office in disarray. “Where are my things?” “Nobody told me!” “I thought this was scheduled on Holy Week?”
I myself don’t react well to sudden changes. The rearrangement was really disorienting. I couldn’t find my box, too. But if you come to terms with it and focus on other things, the change becomes bearable.

The shop hasn’t formally opened. But a lot of people have been peeking and asking if they could play already. This afternoon, he gave in and let the boys play. Kaching!
I was excitedly busy setting up the shop that I didn’t feel like going back to work. But I had to. And guess what greeted me at my table? A printed material with a note “Erika, please storify. Thanks, Letty.” How sweet.
Aaaaaahhh! It’s unbelievable sometimes… As I was walking from office to office for my business permit, it suddenly dawned on me that “Hey! I did it! The shop will be operational in a few more days!” I feel proud that I’ve accomplished this in just a month notwithstanding the lack of funds, moral support and prep time.

The various fees in securing the permit are also unbelievable. Sigh.

I’m blogging using the Digitel Business DSL Plan 3mb which I opted for when PLDT said their DSL won’t be available until May. I couldn’t possibly wait that looong.
The Digitel connection seems fine. I can watch YouTube videos without buffering. Let’s see how it will fare when 10 computers are simultaneously online.
The computers will arrive tomorrow. I’m fckngly happy.
